Viscose

About Viscose

Viscose is a chemical fiber made from natural polymers.

This means that the starting material for the production of the chemical fiber, the cellulose, is found in nature. The use of sodium hydroxide, sulfuric carbon and other chemicals is necessary in the production of viscose. Compared to cotton, the viscose has a much lower abrasion resistance. Also the tensile strength in the wet condition is lower, so it is not suitable for clothing which must be washed frequently.
Just like cotton, the viscose also has a strong crease tendency.
